Mabua Village, Masimera Chiefdom – 13-02-2025
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Rokona Agro Investment SL Limited has officially launched a Grassroots Football Development Project in Mabua Village, Masimera Chiefdom, Port Loko District. This initiative aims to nurture young football talents within the Chiefdom, providing them with opportunities to develop their skills and pursue their passion for sport and education.
The Director & Chief Operations Officer (COO), Ibrahim Conteh, along with his team, paid a courtesy visit to the people of Mabua Village to strengthen ties with the local community. During the visit, football equipment, including balls, training kits goalkeepers gloves, ball bag and other training equipment, was donated to kick-start the project.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ibrahim Conteh emphasized that the initiative is part of Rokona Agro Investment’s commitment to community development beyond agriculture. “We believe that football and education are powerful tools for youth empowerment. By investing in grassroots sports, we hope to engage and inspire young talents while promoting unity and social development in Masimera Chiefdom,” he stated.
The local authorities, youth leaders, and community members expressed their gratitude to Rokona Agro Investment SL Limited for this initiative, noting that it will provide a meaningful platform for young athletes and foster community engagement.
The Football Development Project is expected to officially begin in the coming weeks, with plans to organize a better training venue, for talent scouting opportunities. This marks a new chapter in Rokona Agro Investment’s CSR efforts, ensuring that the company’s impact extends beyond agriculture to youth development and sports empowerment.
